The National Shura is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the National Fraternity. Additionally, all national projects (within the organization as well as projects partnered with other organizations), fundraisers, conferences, and activities affiliated with the National Fraternity are regulated and overseen by the National Shura.”

The National Shura is the operational part of Alpha Lambda Mu. We help develop the environments so that brothers can flourish. We ensure that chapters and the fraternity are responsible with the time and money members invest into the fraternity.

As a member of Alpha Lambda Mu’s National Body you will:

1. attend weekly meetings (please communicate a potential absence or tardy three days in advance),
2. be proactive in finding solutions to the problems/needs of the fraternity,
3. volunteer to share the work with other members (no one member should do all the work),
4. be flexible in the types of work they will do while vocalizing your strengths/weaknesses and previous experiences,
5. communicate effectively on Slack/Notion your progress and any barriers you face.

National Shura is a group of brothers of the fraternity who are here to serve our current and future members. Members of National Shura are either in school, have a day job, and/or have families. This is not a full-time job but it is an opportunity and an amana (trust) to take this fraternity to the next level with your dedicated commitment and undying passion.
